1. Poplar Springs Cleanup (constant need for teams to help with clean-up!- you don’t have to have a chainsaw to be useful!!!!!!!!!)

2. Pray Continually for the families who lost loved ones, our sister churches affected by the storm, the rescue workers and search teams!! All who are involved in helping our community recover from this devastation!!

Service Schedule for Mt Pisgah Baptist: Sunday School 9:30am & Sunday AM 10:30 Sunday PM Service- Prayer for the Community!!

More Opportunities to serve:

1} Poplar Springs Baptist Church is a hosting area to serve meals and also to assign teams to cut up trees and do clean up in their community. A lot has been done, and yet there is a lot more to do.

2} Pleasant Grove on the Alabama Highway is serving meals and assisting people as they come in.

3} Cherokee Valley Baptist Church and their pastor will be going into that hard hit community in the morning (Saturday, April 30). They will be taking sandwiches, chips and water with them. You can make sandwiches and bring chips and water to the Old Stone Church at the corner of Highway 41 & Highway 2 at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning, April 30. Only a few people will be allowed to go in, but you can bring the food and they will take it in with them.

4} They will be cooking chicken at the colonnade tomorrow. They can use cooks and additional grills, smokers, & fryers.

5} Financial donations on a local basis can be made to the Catoosa Baptist Association. It will be distributed through local churches to minister in our community.

We will be doing an emergency Camp Discovery for children K-5 next week, May 2-6. Schools will be out and parents will be looking for child care. This is mainly for those in the Ringgold area that was hit the hardest, but will be open to others up to a limit of 125 children. There will be no charge, donations will be welcomed, but more importantly we will need churches to provide breakfast foods each morning. Let us know if you can do this. We are probably looking at 7 a.m. to 6p.m. Monday through Friday. Each child is asked to bring a lunch, but is not essential. We will see that they are fed. We can use a volunteer to do some music or if you and your group want to come and do arts & crafts, we would be open to that.
